Russia Get Better Of Nepal In Straight Sets

Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) – Nepal, currently in preparation for the upcoming CAVA Women’s Nations League at home, have lost to Russia in straight sets. In the first friendly of two to be held at the Dasharath Stadium Covered Hall, the travelling side won the match 3-0.

Russia finished off the match 25-17, 25-19 and 25-15. Despite putting up a fight in the first two sets, Nepal conceded both sets towards the end. The final set was rather straightforward for the Russians.

The second friendly encounter will be held on Monday. The two-match series is being held with the aid of the Russian Embassy in Nepal.

Nepal, alongside India, Iran, Sri Lanka and Maldives will contest in the CAVA Women’s Nations League that will run from August 1-7 in Tripureshwor.
