Rohit Poudel becomes the second Nepali cricketer to score ODI century

Kathmandu – Rohit Kumar Poudel scored a century during Nepal’s ODI match against Papua New Guinea at TU Cricket Ground on Friday. He reached the milestone off 91 balls.

Chasing a mammoth target of 293 runs for victory, Nepal managed 206 runs in 39.5 overs losing 5 wickets. Poudel scored 7 boundaries and two sixes in his innings. He has become the second player of Nepal score an ODI century after Paras Khadka, who had scored 115 runs against the UAE in 2019.

Before the milestone, Poudel also played a record-breaking 104-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Aarif Sheikh, who bowled out by Assad Vala with his personal score of 34 runs off 64 balls.
