Kathmandu – New Road Team (NRT) have climbed to the fifth position in the Qatar Airways Martyrs Memorial A Division League after defeating Sankata Club 1-0 on Thursday.
Stephan Samir Winong scored the winning goal for NRT in the first half of the 11th round match. He scored the only goal of the match in the 28th minute utilizing a pass from Saroj Tamang to score through two defenders during the match held at ANFA Complex, Satdobato.
This is the fourth victory of NRT. So far, NRT have registered 4 wins, 5 draws and 2 defeats. This is the second defeat of Sankata, who have registered 3 wins and 6 draws in 11 matches.
Sankata are sixth in the table with 15 points from 11 matches.
