Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) – Nepali Youth Team is set to play a friendly match against the youth team of China’s Qinghai Province, the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced.
The match is scheduled to take place on February 10th at 3 PM at the Dasharath Stadium. However, the age-group of the team that will contest the match has not been specified yet.
This friendly is part of the celebrations for the 2024 Chinese New Year in Nepal and is jointly organized by the Embassy of China in Nepal, the National Sports Council, the Nepal Tourism Board with the All Nepal Football Association, and the Nepal Overseas Chinese Association as co-hosts.
Ticket prices for the match have been disclosed by ANFA, with a normal ticket priced at Rs 300 and VIP tickets available for Rs 500. The organizers aim to enhance the overall experience by incorporating various programs, including cultural exchanges between Nepal and China, during the opening ceremony and halftime.
Preliminary discussions regarding the organization of this friendly football match took place during a meeting held last month between Tankalal Ghising, the member-secretary of the National Sports Council, and a delegation from the Chinese Embassy in Nepal. The discussions focused on arranging a friendly involving Nepal and a youth team from a Chinese Province during the English New Year.
