Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) – The schedule for the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship 2024, set to take place in Bangladesh from February 2 to 8, has been revealed by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF).
The tournament, to be held in Dhaka, will feature four teams, including hosts Bangladesh, Nepal, India, and Bhutan. The competition will follow a round-robin league format, with the top two teams advancing to the finals.
Nepal will commence their journey in the tournament with a match against the host nation, Bangladesh, on February 2. Subsequently, Nepal will face Bhutan on February 4 and India on February 6 in their remaining group-stage matches. The final is scheduled for February 8, and all matches will be held at the Bir Sherestha Shaheed Shipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka.
To prepare for the championship, the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has already announced a nationwide selection schedule. In the previous edition featuring five teams in 2021, Nepal secured the third position in the league table. Bangladesh claimed the title by defeating India 1-0 in the final.
