Pakistan Humble Nepal With A Seven-Wicket Victory In U-19 Asia Cup Opener

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) - Nepal have suffered a seven-wicket loss against Pakistan in the first ACC U-19 Asia Cup match in Dubai. Pakistan, chasing a low target of 153 runs at the ICC Academy Oval - 2 in Dubai, got to the total in 26.2 overs at the loss of just three wickets.  Azan Awais and Mohammad Zeeshan got Pakistan over the line with unbeaten innings of 56 and 20 runs, respectively. Awais took 62 deliveries to get to 56 with eight boundaries in his innings. Zeeshan, at the other end, played a quickfire 20 in just eight deliveries with two fours and two sixes. Makwanpur (HamroKhelkud) - The proposal to dismiss President Pankaj Bikram Nembang of the All Nepal Association (ANFA) has been rejected. In the special general meeting held in Hetauda on Thursday, 53 votes were cast, with 53 opposing the motion of no confidence and one vote being invalid. Not a single vote was in favor of the motion for dismissal. Out of the 86 eligible voters, 34 chose not to participate in the voting process. To pass a no-confidence motion against the president, a two-thirds majority vote is required. Palesha bagged a bronze medal in the Taekwondo K44 47 KG category in the ongoing Asian Para Games Hangzhou, China, to become the first Nepali ever to win a medal in the games' history. Palesha had entered the semifinals by defeating China's Yang Li Ting 14-1 in the first matchup. However, she was defeated by Kazaksthan's Kamilya Dosmalova 16-10 in the semifinals. But her medal was confirmed after she received a 'bye' in the repechage. China's Li Ting was defeated by China's Li Yujie in the repechage.
