Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) - Nepal have breezed past the Netherlands to register their first win of the new ICC Cricket World Cup League Two cycle. Nepal defeated the recent World Cup magnums by nine wickets to get their first points of the campaign. Chasing 138-run target given by the Dutch side, Nepal got over the line in 15.2 overs losing just one wicket. Aasif Sheikh and Anil Shah both picked up half-centuries in Nepal’s chase wjhile Kushal Bhurtel gave Nepal a quick start as well. Nepal Pile Up Records To Defeat Maldives By 214 Runs

Nepal defeated Maldives by a big margin of 214 runs and secured their spot in the quarterfinals as group winners. Nepal had defeated Hong Kong and Bhutan in the first two group matches. Nepal, who suffered a loss against New Zealand in the first match, were defeated by Pakistan by five wickets in the second.  Pakistan got over the line chasing 198 runs in 47.4 overs at the loss of just five wickets. Chakra Tamang To Oversee U-16 Women’s Team As Head Coach

Tribhuwan Army Club coach Tamang’s appointment was made official by the All Nepal Football Federation (ANFA) on Sunday afternoon.  Tamang will be leading the team in the upcoming SAFF U-16 Women's Championship, scheduled to take place in Nepal from March 1 to 10 at the Chyasal Stadium in Lalitpur. Just two weeks ago, the court found Sandeep guilty of rape, and today, he received an eight-year prison term. Additionally, he was fined three lakh rupees and ordered to pay two lakhs as compensation to the victim.
