Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) – Nepal APF Football Club are set to compete in the preliminary stage of the AFC Women’s Champions League in Malaysia.
According to the group draw announced by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on Thursday, APF hashavebeen placed in Group C, alongside FC Nasaf from Uzbekistan and Sabah FA from Malaysia.
The tournament features 13 participating teams divided into four groups. The top team from each group will advance to the next round, where they will join the eight top-ranked clubs that have already secured their spots in the group stages.
The winners of APF’s group will join Group A of the group stages, which includes Chinese side Wihan Jiangda Women’s FC, South Korean outfit Hyundai Steel Red Angels Women’s FC, and the winners of Group A of the qualifiers.
The tournament will be held from August 25 to 31, and APF is currently gearing up for this significant competition.
